Year 8 Curriculum
Years 9 & 10 Curriculum

The College is currently reviewing its programs in line with the New Victorian Essential Learning Standards.

This new framework has three interwoven purposes to equip students with the capacity to:

  • Manage themselves and their relations with others
  • Understand the world
  • Act effectively in that world.

This is achieved through the three core, interrelated strands of

  • Physical, Personal and Social Learning
  • Discipline based Learning
  • Interdisciplinary Learning

We will endeavor to improve quality relationships and student motivation by:

  • Developing a greater sense of community amongst students.
  • Nurturing resilience in students.
  • Reducing emphases on teacher as authority.
  • Maintaining positive home-school links.
  • Respecting, affirming and getting to know students better.
  • Providing positive role modeling.
  • Seeking mastery of skills and subject matter to the best of each student’s ability.
Delivering a greater number of subjects in core homeroom classes for the duration of the full calendar year.
